Do we really need a preface? Anyway, Feature and Follow is by Paranjunkee and Alison Can Read and is all about blog love. Q: Best Cover? What is the best cover of a book that you’ve read and didn’t like? A: Oh, easy peasy. Masque of Red Death by Bethany Griffin. I loved the cover, but I didn't like the book. I couldn't connect with any of the characters, and finally just abandoned it somewhere near the end. I don't even want to know how it ended, or if there is a new book in the series. It wasn't sucky writing or a sucky plot, it just completely failed to make any kind of impact on me. What are your picks? Leave your links, let's share some follower love :)

Trifextra: Halloween, Zombies and 33 Words

Hullo, Halloween. You mean nothing to me except pumpkins and scary movies on English TV channels, and I find that a little sad, since you seem kind of fun.  I first heard about you from R.L Stine's Goosebumps books when I was a kid. I thought of you as a mega costume-party. My favorite version of you is, of course, from Harry Potter- that isn't going to change- at least until I see you for real if I ever visit a Western country on Oct 31st. That said, you inspire a lot of creativity, especially among writers, and there's nothing wrong with a good dose of creepy on a sleepy Saturday. So here's the Trifextra Writing Challenge, this week in the spirit of Halloween:  In 1937, a naked woman was found limping through the streets of Haiti. Upon interrogation, she was unable to give any details as to her identity. The woman was eventually identified in hospital as Felicia Felix-Mentor.     So it's my very first Follow Friday blog-hop. Yaayy.  Follow Friday is hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read , and this week's question is.....          Q: Which book genre do you avoid at all costs and why?   A. This one's easy.  Historical romance.  Give me anything with princes, princesses, marquises, swooning heroines, men in breeches, stories about evil twins and lost princes and inheritances and dowries...and I'll faint. But not before I barf.      Anything where women don't wear jeans or, in fact, anything above the knee, cannot stand up for themselves against abusive males (or do stand up and is branded a rebel, a wild-cat to be TAMED. UGH) and one look from a male melts off her kneecaps is a no-no for me. Put in castles and old English and nasty, unfleeable arranged marriages and I am dead. Bear in mind that I'm talking about those pink-and-yellow jacketed...
